What is VillageHelps?

Our goal with VillageHelps is to provide short-term care – and long-term love – to people in need in Milton. Our motto reflects this – We love to help. Born from a group of caring Milton residents who share a heartfelt desire to be good neighbours, this suburban helps organization comes to the aid of individuals in our community during times of need.

If you currently find yourself in difficult circumstances with no one to turn to for support, then we invite you to contact us to discuss how we can help. We’re ready to listen to what’s on your heart, and our team of dedicated staff would love nothing more than to help you through your challenges.

Who do we help?

VillageHelps families and childrenExactly who do we help? Anyone who needs it. We do not discriminate, judge, or favour anyone in our selection process. However, we do receive a lot of requests for aid, so we have selection criteria that help us determine who we are best able to help.

They are as follows:

Care-Based – Our primary focus is on individuals and circumstances requiring a level of hands-on care that they may not find elsewhere

Achievable – The last thing we want to do is to let someone down, so we ensure at the outset that commitments are achievable for our VillageHelps team

MiltonWe want to make a difference in our local community, so our activities are centred here in Milton

Potential for Impact – We strive to help in ways that will make a lasting impact on the individuals we serve

Duty to report

Under no circumstances will VillageHelps or The Village Community Church be party to turning a blind eye to abuse in our ministry context. We will champion the vulnerable and help those who require aid. A person who knowingly fails to report in these circumstances is in violation of the law and may be found to have committed an offence.

It must also be understood that VillageHelps has aligned itself as a cooperating organization with many existing agencies and authorities. It is our desire to follow, as best we can, the policies and procedures of these respective groups, and in the course of doing so, pertinent information about your case may be shared to better assist the overall care which we can all provide.
